A new covered boulodrome with timber frame for Orgelet (France)
SMC2 recently delivered a new covered boulodrome to the municipality of Orgelet (FR), providing ideal conditions for playing pétanque and boule lyonnaise, regardless of the weather.
With nearly 600 m²/6,460 sq ft of space, the main building rests on a solid and aesthetic timber frame, combining technical performance with environmental responsibility.
The roof and façades are made of a textile membrane, ensuring optimal natural lighting while providing effective protection from the elements. This design guarantees comfortable play and a low carbon footprint.
The boulodrome includes 10 covered courts with sand surfaces, offering consistent playing conditions. The dimensions and quality of the facilities meet competition standards while fostering a welcoming environment for players of all levels.
Additionally, a 60 m²/645 sq ft clubhouse annex, built with timber frame walls, provides a warm space for players and visitors, perfect for socializing before or after games.
Thanks to this new facility, pétanque players in Orgelet now have a modern covered sports space suitable for training, tournaments, and events.
